Binibeca

Beaches

The beach here is the Binibeca beach and is closest to Binibeca Nou (the new area). It is a pretty white sandy beach with a compact beach bar right next to it. It is one of the more open and unsheltered beaches in Menorca, so waves can get pretty high here.

Binibeca beach

One somewhat more unknown beach is the Binisafuller Playa on the other side of town. This is closest to Binibeca Vell (the older area of the town). If Binibequer is too busy, Binisafuller could be worth walking to.

Things to do

Some quick highlights to do near Binibeca:

  • Mahon is just a short drive by bus or car ride away and is definitely worth a visit. If you are not going for the culture it is also a great place to go have some lunch or dinner or take a boat tour of the harbor.
  • In the next town of Punta Prima, you also have the Splash Sur Menorca waterpark.

Nightlife, restaurants & bars

Restaurant menu

There are a few bars and restaurants spread out all over the area but no clubs or party nightlife. However, many of the places here offer a relaxed atmosphere and drinks till around midnight.

Menorca airport to Binibeca

Binibeca is located very close to the airport. 11 km, to be exact.

  • With public transort, you will first have to go to Mahon and from their take a 2nd bus to Binibeca. The price is 2.65 euros to Mahon and 1.70 euros to Binibeca.
  • A shuttle is a more easy option but the price is a bit higher at 11 euros.
  • Taxi’s start at 22 euro but cost more on the weekends or evenings.

Is Binibeca the right holiday destination for you?

Tourist train route and prices

Binibeca is a pretty special place. You either like it or don’t. If you are looking for new, modern, big hotels, this place isn’t right for you. It offers primarily houses and villas to rent. One of the main appeals is that it is close to the airport, so it is easy to get to.
