All these holiday destinations have easy connections to the airport, good public transport and lots to see and do in the holiday destination or nearby. So no need for a car!
1. Costa Adeje in Tenerife

Costa Adeje is the best and easiest holiday destination to visit on the Spanish Islands without a car. Not only are there numerous amusement and water parks, such as the famous Siam Water Park, but also a wide selection of different and unique beaches. The nightlife here is generally family-friendly, but if you’re looking to go clubbing, Las Veronicas in Playa de Las Americas is just a short taxi ride or walk away.
Just make sure to stay in a hotel in front of the highway, rather than behind it, as otherwise you will have to do a lot of walking up and down each time. Staying in the middle of Costa Adeje, yet near the beach, such as at Hovima La Pinta Beachfront, is ideal.
2. Playa de Palma in Mallorca

First of all, Playa de Palma is very close to the airport, making it ideal for a quick visit to the island without any hassle. For those who enjoy clubbing, the famous El Arenal is conveniently located nearby. However, there are also many other attractions to explore, such as Aqualand El Arenal and the Palma Aquarium. A quick bus ride can also take you directly to the central bus station of Palma, where you have connecting buses going all over the island. This also serves as a great starting point to explore the historic city of Palma.
Pure Salt Garonda is a hotel in an excellent location, directly next to the beach, and a short walk from the El Arenal nightlife.
3. Ibiza Town in Ibiza

Eivissa, or Ibiza Town, is an excellent holiday destination for those seeking a clubbing and nightlife-focussed holiday, with famous clubs like Pacha and Lio located here. Buses, as well as dedicated party buses, can take you to clubs and party areas nearby or on the other side of the island, like San Antonio. The “Taxi Boats” can easily take you to nearby beaches. For those who love culture and history, the town has a lot of this as well.
For a party-type holiday, both Play Hotel Ibiza and The Standard Ibiza are excellent.
4. San Antonio in Ibiza

If you enjoy beaches, beach clubs, and nightlife, then San Antonio is an excellent destination for your holiday without a car. This area features numerous beaches and beach clubs, all of which are easily accessible by taxi boat. But you can also visit many nearby islands from here by boat. For those who like to go clubbing and party, the pubs and bars in The West End are very popular, but many larger nightclubs can also be easily reached by bus from here.
Close to the beach, taxi boat stops, and party areas, you can find the excellent NYX Hotel Ibiza and Palladium Hotel Palmyra.
5. Corralejo in Fuerteventura

With it’s numerous beaches and plenty of things to see and do, Corralejo is and ideal destination in Fuerteventura for a holiday without a car. Boat tours can take you to neighboring islands such as Lanzarote and Isla de Lobos, from the local marina. The famous Popcorn Beach island located here, and the nightlife is quite lively for Fuerteventura. Additionally, the bus can easily transport you to many villages and beaches in the North of the island.
Choose Barcelo Corralejo Sands for families and H10 Ocean Dreams for adults and couples. Both have excellent locations close to everything.
6. Palma Nova in Mallorca

Palma Nova in Mallorca, and its nearby neighbour, Magaluf, have some of the best amusement parks and attractions on the island. These include the Western Water Park, Pirates Adventure, Marineland Mallorca, a karting track, Katmandu Park, and the biggest minigolf course on the island, Golf Fantasia. The bus can take you quickly to nearby beaches or towns as well as the capital of Mallorca, Palma. You can also do this by joining one of the boat tours along the coastline. Nightlife is pretty family-friendly in Palma Nova, but if you want to dive into the clubbing scene, nearby Magaluf has that for you.
Zel Mallorca is great for a holiday right next to the beach, and Marsenses Rosa Del Mar is great for families who want to be close to everything Magaluf and Palma Nova have to offer.
7. Puerto Rico in Gran Canaria

Puerto Rico is ideal for those who want to explore numerous nearby beaches. These beaches can easily be reached by bus, boat, and some of them on foot. Just make sure you’re not staying high up on the hillside, so it’s easy to walk around. Most of the restaurants, bars and nightlife are all located in the centre of the town in the shopping centre, making it easy to explore on foot.
Gloria Palace Amardores and Marina Bayview are great places to stay, close to everything but still away from the noisy areas of town. While the Gloria Palace Amadores is situated high up on the hill, it offers an easy lift to access the town’s ground level.
8. Playa del Ingles in Gran Canaria

Playa del Ingles is a vast area, with Maspalomas and Meloneras adjacent to it, making it even larger. Because of this, there is a lot to see and do. This includes Aqualand Maspalomas waterpark, Palmitos Park Zoo, as well as jeep, buggy, and camel safaris. Since this area is also quite centrally located between other holiday destinations on the island, everything is relatively close by bus.
If you’re looking for a great hotel and location for a family holiday, both Sol Barbacan and HD Parque Cristobal Gran Canaria are excellent options. For an adults-only holiday, Playa del Sol is a good budget option, and Bohemia Suites & Spa is amazing for those seeking something more luxurious.
9. Puerto del Carmen in Lanzarote

Puerto del Carmen is one of the biggest holiday destinations in Lanzarote, with the most things to see and do in Lanzarote. Rancho Texas Lazarote Park Zoo, boat tours, open-air cinema and many more. In the evening, the area is quite lively, with numerous shows, live performances, and bands. The beaches here are also huge, so never get too crowded.
As the area is quite long and spread out, it is essential to choose a hotel in a prime location. Lani’s Suites de Luxe is ideal for those seeking a luxurious holiday, Hotel Las Costas is excellent for budget travellers, and Hotel Riu Paraiso Lanzarote is suitable for families. All of these are located next the the main bus route going through the area.
10. Mahon in Menorca

While Menorca is the hardest of these islands to visit without a car or hire car, if you do want to do so, Mahon is a great option. The city offers rich culture, excellent tapas, numerous museums, authentic Spanish experiences, and plenty of things to do and see. And because of the buses, it is easy to reach many nearby beaches or explore the east of the island.
