Beaches

People on the Figueretes beach

Playa de Figueretes is a large golden sand beach surrounded by a walking boulevard and an extensive selection of bars and restaurants. Even though this beach is located in a big city, you notice very little of it on the beach. However, it is also popular with the locals and sometimes can get a bit busy, especially at the weekends. The sea here is shallow and with few waves most days.

Where to stay in Figueretas

One Ibiza Suites pool

When choosing a location to stay in Figueretas, there are a few things to consider. Most likely, you will want to book near the beach for the best experience as some further back located accommodations are located in the busy part of Ibiza Town with some pretty heavy and loud traffic. While this might not be a problem for some, it does not have that holiday feel. Towards the North East of the beaches, there is also a pretty high hill. Most accommodations here offer great views, but going up and down can be troublesome for some because of all the stairs.

Here are the places you can book today and know for sure you made a great choice:

Figueretas is one of the few places that can be visited all year round in Ibiza because of the local population living in this area. This means that while many of the purely holiday destinations in Ibiza close down for winter, plenty of things will still be open in this area, but many hotels, restaurants and bars will also close during these months. The last weeks of May and the first weeks of October are ideal for budget deals, while June to September is best for those looking for beach weather and clubbing.

Is Figueretas the best holiday destination for you?

Figueretas is best for couples and solo travellers who like the idea of a holiday in a more urban setting but next to a stunning beach, with plenty of history, nightlife, restaurants and shops to explore nearby.

Those seeking a tranquil, secluded beach experience might find Figueretas too busy, especially on weekends. Travellers who prefer a quiet, remote location away from urban settings might want to look elsewhere. While families can come on holiday here, there are better places on the island for families, especially with small children.
